So, still confused on many aspects of the game (I didnt do beta). Just was browsing the app store yesterday and saw the game and thought hey, why not. Didnt even know it was brand new lel. Anyhow:

  • Still confused on squads... I know what they DO, but how do I get them? Arent they just like units where you need to research them? I can see them, but deep in the tier 2 hq tech tree...
  • Is it better to focus on one country or all?
  • Also why is mm taking forever. I know its a new game but isnt 7 mins a bit much?
  • Whats the downside of making a bad deck and clubbing seals to farm xp for upgrades? Do you earn less?

Dumb questions, I know, but thoroughly confused

Okay I will respond to these questions numbering them in the order that they are asked. (just not make this easier to follow)

1. Squads, yes just like any other card you have to research and purchase them. You currently have 2 squads (everybody does by defualt) the Gunners SF and Scouts M.

2. I would state it is better to play everything as you will be able to grab all cards then, and there are many cards which many decks of other nations benefit from, examples of these would be Logistics 8A, Telegraphers K (more aggressive decks like Jute like these cards) and Police. I personally can not see how one can focus on one nation but many do. This is mostly dependent on what and how you want to play. Doesn't really matter as long as you are having fun.... However if you are asking in a competitive stand point (not that this game is very competitive right now) I would say play all as that is generally expected to be competitive in any game (that you play and understand everything)

3. It has to do with lack of players.... All there is to say. Advice is to have decks of differing power and cycle threw them.... like if you don't find a match in about a minute or so (or however long you decide) move to another one and queue up in that. It at least makes wait times seem less horrible and at times actually finds you a match quickly.

4. By bad deck do you mean low power.... I am assuming low power.... If the question is down sides to making a bad deck though then it is playing a bad deck :P But there really isn't any actual downside to playing low power and clubbing to pad your stats.... Other than most of the XP you gain on it (after unlocking everything on it) will be useless unless you want to spend gold to unlock it. And the other downside is that you probably really are not improving as a player by doing this, since you are not attempting to play all the decks and definitely not playing against all the decks and wouldn't be able to understand how the game runs at different power levels and not gain knowledge of how to play at them. (that last point only applies if that is all you do. Low power is really fun I would recommend playing it sometimes, however always more fun when done as a duel with a friend) So the downsides just really also depend on what you want to get out of the game.... if you only want to play that one deck and perform really well and never want anything else from this game, then go for it ^_^

And no they are not dumb questions. Questions are the greatest thing ^_^ they show what you want to know. Thanks for asking them, I had fun answering them to the best of my ability.

I do hope that these answers did at least help in some way.

Have wonderful days ^_^

Grrrr.... Love me pls :O

1) Squads are the third type of card (the other two being spell and tank). They are essentially power ups to your HQ, in respect to things like damage and hp. Look at the "edit deck" feature to see all cards at your disposal and add them into your deck. They are cards like gunners SF or Scouts M, and show people on the card cover. I suggest you get them immediately, as they can be vital to turning the tide of battle.

2) I would focus on one country first, since you can grind it out. Just do as you would do in WoTB, since the tech tree is similar

3) 7 mins?!?! I only had that in alpha. My longest is 1:30. Just keep at it bro, and wait for the community to expand more.

4) I don't know about XP earning sry

The others answered the first three questions well.

I do have a comment on your fourth question.
  • Whats the downside of making a bad deck and clubbing seals to farm xp for upgrades? Do you earn less?

While just playing with the training HQs after they're elite is a waste of time, it IS important not to automatically use your best cards as soon as you get them.

The reason for this is that you will be raising the power of your deck and facing off against players who have perhaps progressed farther and will have more of the advanced cards, counterbalanced by the base medium and heavy tanks.

This will put you at a competitive disadvantage. Wait until you've earned enough of the advancements on the tier 4 HQs so that you will have most of the cards for your nationality available. By keeping your deck power lower and just tweaking in good cards to suit your hq, you will be facing newer players who don't have your experience or the cards you're tweaking with, and you can gain a competitive advantage.

The Tier 4 HQ deck power can hover around 400, which will provide you with weaker opponents but keep your rewards significant, allowing you to earn the available cards and stockpile them before building a high power deck.

Semper Fi,

Terry
